Why do I get Error: "localized string not found" (WebKitErroDomain:203)" ?

This is not a Speed Download error or bug.

Based on postings in the Apple forums, this seems to be an issue with Safari that is affecting some users. According to users that have emailed us, this problem cropped up at roughly about the same time as the Mac OS X 10.4 update showed up. We have researched this matter and found the following fix for the convenience of our users.

This fix comes courtesy of Jared Cockten, posted in the Apple Discussion Forums

“I’ve tried this on three different machines which had all encountered the same problem and it has fixed them all with no issues and no need for a messy system reinstall/update:

1. Download the latest version of Safari from Apple (this is essential to do before anything else)

2. Locate the webkit files and stick them in the trash: System/Library/Frameworks/webkit.framework (these are used to connect to the web – if you fail to follow step 1, you will kick yourself as you will not be able to connect using ftp, http, etc.)

3. Install Safari from your fresh download
4. Restart
5. Run permissions repair in Disk Utility
6. Rejoice as your contextual meanus reappear in Safari.”
