How do I print remotely?

ShareTool is the fastest, most natural way to print to your home or office network even when you're physically located somewhere else.

• Step 1: Log into your ShareTool network by entering the email/password combination you created when you shared your network.
• Step 2: Once successfully connected, simply open your system preference, go into the Print & Fax section, and click on the + sign (as you normally do to add a new printer).




• As illustrated in the screenshot above, you will see all printers (both local and remote) listed right there for you. The remote printers will be identified by their ShareTool network name so you may easily identify them. In the picture above, the remote printers available are located on the F. Lavoie and SY networks.
• Step 3: Select the printer you're interested in and Mac OS X should add it automatically to your list in the same way it would add a local printer.
• Step 4: When you're ready to print something, simply select the remote printer from your list of printers.


• ShareTool Remote Printing is incredibly useful for those that travel often or simply work offsite.
• Important to note: Due to a Mac OS X bug, Remote Printing will not work under Mac OS X Leopard unfortunately. The "Add Printer" app/window ignores printing services advertised by the same machine.
